This Policy works hand-in-hand with the ‘Your Training Booking Confirmation’, which also includes our Terms and Conditions. What personally identifiable information does the company collect and how is it used?
When you visit or register on http://wwww.derricktait-northeast.co.uk, or visit our Facebook, Instagram, and/or Twitter pages, you may be asked to, or of your own will, provide information from which you can be identified, including name, email address, home or business address etc., as well as text you may upload and other technical data such as the IP address of the machine you use. Likewise, during any practical training, we, the Company, will ask you to complete a register of attendance, which identifies who has attended the course(s), role, email address (optional), and signature of attendance. We will use this information to complete necessary certificates of attendance, and certificates of competence. On occasion, the person who has arranged/organised the training, namely the manager of the organisation, may request the information contained on the register for auditing and compliance purposes, of which we will supply this information to them accordingly, if asked. The Company will not collect such information from users while they use our website unless they voluntarily provide it to us and authorise us to collect such information. Users may provide any information about themselves from which they can be identified. It should be noted that if you ‘opt-out’ from the Company collecting information during any practical training, then it will not be possible to complete any certificates of attendance or competency certificates of attendance. The Company may use or disclose all such information in order to:
• Fulfil a sale/booking confirmation of a product/course, including sharing such information with its partners and suppliers.
• Carry out the specific service as requested by you.
• Support marketing activities.
• To respond to other inquiries or requests by you.
• To provide information about specials, sales or new products or services that you will introduce in the future.
And will retain such information for the following period of time:
• For no longer than required to perform the service.
We may also disclose personally identifiable information in the establishment or exercise of legal rights or defences against legal claims, to comply with applicable laws or regulations, to comply with a valid legal process, such as a search warrant, subpoena or court order or to investigate suspected fraud or a violation of our Terms and Conditions if Use. We will never sell user information to any 3rd-party not affiliated with the Company.
The Company may, from time to time, send or post surveys or requests for your feedback in order to help us make our website and services better. Any responses we receive from users will be used only to evaluate the services that we deliver, and no personally identifiable information from respondents will be shared with any non-employees of the Company, except that information provided in the feedback/comments areas. This feedback may also be shared on various social media sites.
If you are chosen for a promotion or as a winner in a contest, you give the Company permission to use your name, image, and other information about you, for marketing purposes.
Likewise, when we attend your premises for practical training and support, we may decide to log our location, or ‘check in’, on various social media sites, such as Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, also giving an overview of the services or training we have delivered, although never naming any patients/residents/clients/pupils/students and/or staff/visitors to your premises, without their prior consent, and never taking any photographs of patients/residents/clients/pupils/students and/or staff/visitors, without their prior consent, or the consent of a legal guardian where appropriate.
Does Derrick Tait North East Health & Social Care Services have a newsletter or training brochure?
The Company does not regularly send out a Newsletter via email, but we do send out our training brochure (hereinafter “Brochure”) to all users (Unless they have ‘opted-out). In the brochure, we will inform you about the courses and services we deliver, along with our pricing structure. We tend to use social media, such as Facebook, Instagram and/or Twitter, to let you know what events we have planned. You may choose to unsubscribe from our Brochure, at any time, by sending an email to [email protected] or [email protected] However, in doing so, you may not have up to date information on our courses that we offer and our pricing structure.
Disclosure of your information
The information you provide to us may be accessed by or given to third parties who act for us for the purposes set out in this policy, or for other purposes approved by you. Those parties process information and provide support services on our behalf.
We work in collaboration with many approved associations and companies, as part of our accreditation, registration and approval status. There may be times when we need to disclose information to our partners, although we will always seek your prior permission.
Working on behalf of our Company is our Recovery Manager. We will pass all details onto our Recovery Manager for the purposes of retrieving any outstanding debts owed by the user, if outside of our terms and conditions, and our booking confirmation.
Finally, if our business enters into a joint venture with or is sold to or merged with another business entity, your information may be disclosed to our new business partners or owners.
Unfortunately, the transmission of information through the internet is not completely secure. Although we will do our best to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to our site, any transmission is at your own risk.
We do use password protection on all of our PCs and Emails. All paper documentation used, such as registers, will be scanned and stored on our PC network should retrieval be needed in the future. We also keep an electronic copy of all certificates sent, should retrieval be needed in the future.
Is my information private with company merchants and advertisers?
What about data security?
We employ security measures to protect, so far as reasonably possible, your information from access by unauthorised persons and against unlawful processing, accidental loss, destruction and damage. We will retain your information for a reasonable period of time or as long as the law requires or permits.
The Company requires that our partners ensure the security of the data that users provide to them, however, in the event of a breach of their security measures, you agree that the Company will not be liable for any losses or damages.
The Company limits access to personal information about users to employees, for whom we reasonably believe it is necessary, in order to provide products or services or for retrieval purposes.

You are entitled to see the personal information held about you and you may ask us to make any necessary changes to ensure that it is accurate and kept up to date. Can I opt-out?
The Company gives users the option to remove personally identifiable information from our list of active users. You may also choose to opt-out of certain communications from the Company, such as our Brochure. The Company is not responsible for removing personally identifiable information from the lists of any 3rd-party partner or advertiser who has previously been provided your information in accordance with this Policy.

The Company is located in Northumberland, in the United Kingdom. Our website is managed by Vistaprint.
What is the minimum age to use our services?
We do not have a minimum age to use our services/training. If the user is under the age of eighteen (18) years, and is accessing our services/products, approval or authorisation or consent will need to be obtained from their parents or legal guardian or other person with legally recognised parental authority. Without this consent, then the company reserves the right to refuse to offer services to those under 18 years of age.
The Company reserves the right to amend this Policy at any time, in the event that his becomes necessary after initial release, or in the event that it becomes necessary with respect to additional, deleted, modified or amended services provided by the Company.
We may not personally notify you of any amendments to this Policy. Users are urged to check this Policy frequently in order to determine whether any changes have been made. Users understand and agree that continued use of the Company website assumes that they have read and accepted this Policy, and it may be amended from time to time.

The Company never uses or installs spy ware on user computers, nor do we use spy ware to retrieve information from user computers.
